CHICAGO HEIGHTS - Prairie State's
Jared Johnson continued his total domination in the early going.
The sophomore was unstoppable from inside and out scoring a career-high 48 points en route to Prairie State's easy 97-69 win over North Park (JV) on Monday.
Johnson scored 32 points in the first half alone helping the Pioneers to an 11-point lead. The Pioneers pulled away in the second half for a blowout win. His play got others involved as well as he racked up six assists. He also led the Pioneers (7-3) with eight rebounds and five steals. Johnson also shot 7-for-9 from behind the 3-point line.
Will Mendez did a solid job distributing. His seven assists led Prairie State.
Breion Hill had three blocks and two steals.
Humza Robinson also had 10 points for Prairie State.
The Pioneers will play at 3 P.M. Saturday against Malcolm X.
