PALOS HILLS, IL - Prairie State knew it had a tough game against the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference leader Moraine Valley.
The Pioneers were up to the challenge dominating from start to finish in an 89-78 victory on Tuesday. 
Prairie State never trailed in the game at any point and took a 16-point lead into the locker room. The Cyclones got within five in the games final two minutes but a traditional 3-point play from 
Jared Johnson put the icing on the cake for the Pioneers.
Johnson continued to cement his case to be named an All-American with 29 points and eight rebounds. Johnson had an outstanding supporting cast as well. Sophomore 
Tyler Houston and 
Rashaad Williams each had 18 points. Houston ran the offense efficiently racking up a team-high eight assists. Williams added three steals. 
Breion Hill put up his usual double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. He added two blocks. 
Will Mendez had 10 points and five assists. 
The win vaults the Pioneers into first place in the Skyway with three games to play. Thursday figures to be another tough task as Prairie State travels to McHenry County.Â
