Thursday's game against Oakton was no exception. The Pioneers rolled to an 89-61 victory to win their sixth in a row.
Will Mendez had his best game of the season shooting a perfect 6 for 6 from behind the arc. He finished with 20 points.
All-American candidate
Jared Johnson had 18 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.
Tyler Houston (14),
Humza Robinson (11) and
Breion Hill (10) all scored double digits. Hill's 10 rebounds gave him Prairie State's only double-double. Hill was excellent defensively blocking three shots.
Rashaad Williams led the Pioneers (18-7, 8-2) with three steals.
Prairie State led by 19 at halftime shooting over 60 percent from the field and continued its dominance in the second half.
The Pioneers will play at Moraine Valley on Tuesday.
