CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - Prairie State played close in both games against College of Lake County but was unable to pull out wins in either game.
In Game 1, the Pioneers trailed by only two headed to the fifth before falling 14-1 to the Lancers. In Game 2, Prairie State held an early lead but couldn't hold on in an 11-6 loss.Â

The Pioneers trailed 3-1 in the fifth inning before College of Lake County scored 11 times in the fifth.Â
Isaiah Gaines and
Chasen Lewis had the only two hits for Prairie State.
The Pioneers scored their only run on a double steal by
Gabe Cortez and
Scott Gates.
College of Lake County 11, Prairie State 6
Prairie State came out of the gates hot in Game 2 scoring six runs in the first two innings.
Scott Gates led the way with a two-run triple. He finished with two hits on the day.
Isaiah Gaines had a two-run single during the four-run rally.
Gabe Cortez also had two hits for the Pioneers.Â
Prairie State (3-23) surrendered four runs in the top of the seventh inning which put the game away for the Lancers.
