When Prairie State head women’s basketball coach Ariana Dampier announced she was leaving the program after two seasons, PSC director of athletics, Joe Belcaster, didn’t have to look far to find her replacement.
Munster, Indiana product Tanner Kuehn has been tasked with guiding the Pioneers this fall.
Kuehn is no stranger to PSC either.
After spending the past four seasons as an assistant on head coach Mike Manderino’s staff, Kuehn was ready to take the next step in his coaching journey and was hired in May to pilot the Pioneers.
Kuehn, who also serves as a Pathway Advisor at PSC, turned in a standout career at Purdue University Northwest and also played one season of professional basketball for the Reading Rockets of the English NBL.
Last season, the Pioneers registered their first 10-win campaign in five years.
