Growing up in Park Forest, Jonah Nuno Sheldon was a former Prairie State soccer player. He attended Mount Carmel High School and played under head coach Carlos Reyes in 2016 at Prairie State. Have been coaching a youth soccer club for five years
As a player at Prairie State as a holding midfielder, he was able to reach 20 assists while scoring six goals. He helped his team to a 14-4-1 mark and made First Team All-Conference in the Skyway as well as being named to the All-Region Team (Region IV). After two years at PSC, Nuno Sheldon transferred to Robert Morris University. During his senior season, he helped take Robert Morris to the postseason for the first time in six seasons and was named Second-Team All Conference team in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
He plans to receive his bachelor's degree in Health and Wellness from Robert Morris by 2019 and will continue as the assistant Coach at Prairie State.
