GALESBURG, Ill. --- Prairie State had plenty of changes to pull out a win against Carl Sandburg, but it just didn't happen on Sunday.

The Pioneers had a penalty kick in overtime but were unable to convert in a 1-1 tie.

Alejandro Lopez converted on a penalty kick in the first half to account for Prairie State's goal. The Pioneers later surrendered one in regulation to send the game to overtime. 

Jose Salgado had three saves for the Pioneers (2-0-1), who will play next on Tuesday at Truman College.
