Box Score CHICAGO HEIGHTS - Prairie State was tight with Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference foe Moraine Valley on Thursday.
The Pioneers were within striking distance in the middle of the second half but a long scoring drought doomed Prairie State in a 79-71 loss.
Jared Johnson led Prairie State with 23 points and his 11 rebounds gave him a double-double.
Breion Hill had an outstanding game with 21 points and eight rebounds.Â
Tyler Houston had 12 points and nine rebounds.
Prairie State (12-7, 2-2 Skyway) led by four at the break, but couldn't hold in the second half.
The Pioneers will play Tuesday against McHenry County.
