Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - Prairie State battled but fell short in a doubleheader against Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference opponent McHenry County on Tuesday.

McHenry County 7, Prairie State 1

McHenry County pitcher Morgann Paaske was dominant against the Pioneers in the opener surrendering only four hits and one run.

Anamaree Ramirez drove in the only run of the game for Prairie State with a single to left field. Shaelynn Svoboda, Brooke Dusseau and Kristina Adney had the other three hits for Prairie State. 

Svoboda pitched well throwing a complete game while giving up four earned runs.

McHenry County 6, Prairie State 1

The story was much the same in Game 2 for Prairie State as the Scots used dominant pitching to pick up the win.

Prairie State managed only four hits. Adney had two of those hits.

Angelena Green blasted a triple for the only extra base hit of the game for the Pioneers (4-16).

Svoboda added a hit for Prairie State.
