Box Score CICERO, IL - Prairie State and Morton have been two of the top teams in Region IV in each of the past two seasons.

This year is no exception. Both the Pioneers (No. 15) and Panthers (No. 11) are nationally ranked to start the season. 

Fortunately for Prairie State, it got out to an early two-goal lead and held for a 2-1 victory at Morton on Tuesday.

The Pioneers (2-0, 2-0 Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference) got an early goal from Mohamed Eshafie. 

Antonio Leal hit a rocket past the Morton keeper near the end of the first half to give the Pioneers a commanding 2-0 lead. 

Prairie State allowed a second half goal but did not allow the all-important equalizer.
