Box Score CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - Prairie State had its chances but was unable to come out with a win in the Region IV Championship game.

Morton played extremely well defeating the Pioneers 3-1 on Saturday to advance to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. 

The Panthers scored first in the middle of the first half on a rocket that beat goalkeeper Torben Busack. 

Just after halftime the Pioneers showed signs of life. Romulo Dorea made an excellent run feeding El Kati Taoufik who hit the back of the net from close range. 

The Pioneers hung tough before Morton scored a pair of goals in a span on 36 seconds.

Prairie State had several chances down the stretch to cut into the Panthers lead but couldn't quite make it happen. 

The No. 4 Pioneers did not earn the automatic bid to the national tournament but there are four at-large bids to be selected by the NJCAA.
