AUBURNDALE, Fla. --- The Prairie State College baseball team departed the warm climate of Florida this past weekend on a high note.

The Pioneers, upended Columbia-Greene Community College by a final score of 15-8, helping to push the Pioneers record to 5-8 on the campaign.

PSC cashed in on five Columbia-Greene miscues and pounded out 14 hits in the contest as three Pioneers recorded multiple hits.Â

PSC's hitters were paced by freshman third baseman
Nick Noles (Beecher H.S.) who produced a 3-for-5, four-RBI, two-run afternoon which included a double.
Sophomore first baseman
Gabe Cortez (Tinley Park H.S.) also drove in a quartet of runs, going 1-for-4 with a double and pair of runs.

Luis Civico (J.P. McCaskey H.S.), (2-for-2, 3 RBI, 4 stolen bases, 2 walks), freshman designated hitter
Devon Allen (Simeon H.S.), (2-for-4, run) and freshman catcher
Gabriel Chirinos (Immaculate H.S., Venezuela) all registered a pair of hits.Â
