PSC Athletics Hall of Fame Coming in Winter 2024

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. --- The Prairie State College athletic department is pleased to announce the creation of the PSC Athletics Hall of Fame.

The PSC Athletics Hall of Fame is designed to recognize and honor former PSC student-athletes, coaches and support staff who have impacted the athletic department through outstanding achievement in intercollegiate competition, personal/professional endeavors, leadership and College contributions.

"We are at a point in our athletic department's existence where we have accumulated enough history to begin honoring those student-athletes, coaches and staff who have made incredible contributions to athletics here at PSC," Director of Athletics Joe Belcaster said. "This is a great time to be at PSC and there is no better way to show that than by reconnecting and honoring our past.  Our hall of fame will accomplish exactly that."

In order for a former PSC student-athlete to be nominated, they must be out of PSC for a minimum of five years, accumulated a plethora of athletic achievements (all-conference, all-region, all-America, etc.) and demonstrated excellence beyond PSC in either sport, career or public service.

On the coach/athletic support staff side, an active head coach can be nominated if he/she has coached continuously for eight years or longer has accumulated a series of coaching awards, team championships along with the overall success of their respective program.

The hall of fame plans to induct four to five members each year with an induction ceremony taking place on the weekend of a men's/women's basketball Saturday doubleheader.
