Four Double-Digit Scorers Not Enough as PSC Falls to Moraine Valley

PALOS HILLS, Ill. --- The Prairie State men's basketball team lost hold of a nine-point second-half lead and was unable to recover Thursday night, falling to Illinois Skyway Conference foe Moraine Valley 83-73 at the Cyclone Center.
 
The setback moved PSC's overall mark to 9-13 with a 2-4 showing in league play.
 
PSC was paced in the scorer's column by freshman point guard Javery Johnson (Homewood-Flossmoor H.S.) and his 18-point effort. Johnson shot 5-of-9 from the field with a three-pointer and 7-of-8 from the free throw line. 
 
Freshman guard Darien Green (Christ the King College Prep) wasn't far behind with a 17-point effort on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor. 
 
Freshman guard Jordan Davis (Kankakee H.S.) chipped in 12 points and three rebounds.
 
Sophomore forward Victor Brown (Rich Township H.S.) recorded a double-double, tallying 10 points while pulling down 10 rebounds.
 
The Pioneers will see action next on Tuesday when they travel to Crystal Lake for a road tilt again McHenry (7:15 p.m.).
