Pioneers Fall to Milwaukee Tech at Home

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. --- Despite a hard-fought, all-out effort, the Prairie State women's basketball team was unable to garner a win Saturday afternoon, falling to NJCAA Region 4 counterpart Milwaukee Tech 83-50 at the PSC Fieldhouse.

The setback dropped the Pioneers to 6-19 on the campaign.

Prairie State was paced in the scorer's column by sophomore point guard Alyssa Quinones (Whiting H.S.) who deposited 14 points on 3-of-16 shooting from the field with a 7-of-8 showing from the free throw line. She also dished out four assists and made off with a steal.

Freshman guard Chanteze Holland (Morton Senior H.S.) added nine points and four rebounds.

PSC trailed 19-7 after one quarter and 40-21 at the break.

The Pioneers will see action next on Tuesday when they host Illinois Skyway Conference rival Oakton at the Fieldhouse.
