Pioneers Drop Tough Match to Madison

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. --- Despite a hard-fought, all-out effort, the Prairie State women's soccer team was unable to upend a talented Madison squad, falling 6-0 to the Wolfpack at the Pioneer Sports Complex Saturday.

With the setback, PSC saw its overall record dip to 1-4.

An air-tight Madison defense didn't allow PSC to put a shot on goal in the contest.

Despite the Wolfpack, finding the back of the net six times, PSC sophomore goalkeeper Priscilla Blemano (Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School, CANADA) was outstanding between the posts, stopping 14 shots as well as a penalty kick.

The Pioneers will be in action next on Wednesday when they take on Illinois Skyway Conference counterpart Moraine Valley at the Pioneers Sports Complex (4 p.m.).
