AUBURNDALE, FL. - Prairie State played tough with Heartland Community College but couldn't pull out a win in a 19-10 loss on Wednesday.
The Pioneers scored three times in the first and the game went back and forth until Heartland erupted for six runs in the sixth inning to put the game away.Â
Parker Sutton had two hits including a double for Prairie State. He drove in two runs.Â
The Pioneers (1-7) drew a season-high 13 walks in the game.
Devin Smith had a hit and four walks in the game.
Prairie State plays St. Cloud State today.
