Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - Prairie State fell in a doubleheader against Moraine Valley on Saturday. 

The Pioneers lost 12-1 in six innings and 13-2 in the second game. 

Moraine Valley 12, Prairie State 1 (6 inn.)

Prairie State managed only three hits in the contest. 

Nico Pena had two hits and the only RBI of the game for Prairie State (0-11, 0-2 Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference).

Xavier Deluna had the only other hit for the Pioneers. 

Moraine Valley 13, Prairie State 2

Prairie State played tough in the second game, but a seven-run fourth inning put the game away for Moraine Valley. 

Chasen Lewis had two hits for Prairie State. 

Kevin Reid and Mike Denton combined to pitch four innings without giving up an earned run. Denton pitched three while Reed pitched one. 

The Pioneers square off against the Cyclones for another doubleheader on Sunday.
