Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - Prairie State fell in a doubleheader against Moraine Valley.

The Pioneers lost Game 1 13-2 in five innings and the second game was close for most of the game before the Cyclones took a 12-4 decision.

Moraine Valley 13, Prairie State 2 (5 inn.)

Prairie State gave up two big innings surrendering five runs in the second and eight in the third which put the game away. 

Devin Smith had two hits for Prairie State while Mike Denton fired two scoreless innings.

Prairie State trailed 4-3 late but a five-run fifth inning put the game out of reach. 

Chasen Lewis, CJ Seymour and Gabe Cortez each had two hits for the Pioneers. 

Prairie State (4-30) briefly led. Cortez drove in a run with a groundout and Gates singled in CJ Seymour giving the Pioneers a 2-0 lead after an inning.
