PSC Downs Kennedy-King in Straight Sets

CHICAGO, Ill. --- Paced by a strong overall effort from freshman outside hitter Vitoria Pinho (Metodo Ensino Dirigido H.S., BRAZIL), the Prairie State volleyball team upended NJCAA Region 4 counterpart Kennedy-King Friday in Chicago's Englewood community.
 
The Pioneers claimed the sets by final counts of 25-14, 25-16 and 25-10.
 
With the triumph, PSC's record was elevated to 9-18 overall.
 
Pinho hammered down seven kills to go along with eight digs.
 
Freshman hitter Michelle Restelli (Instituto de Ciencias H.S., MEXICO) paced PSC with eight kills.
 
Sophomore setter Samantha De Laurentis (St. Laurence H.S.) added 16 assists.
 
Sophomore right side Kaylin Buczkowski (Illiana Christian H.S.) delivered a five-kill showing. 
 
The Pioneers will see action next in their season finale Wednesday at Danville Area Community College.
