Box Score GRAYSLAKE, IL - Prairie State men's soccer has has had a solid week.
Yesterday, the Pioneers moved up to No. 3 in Division II and Tuesday they picked up their fourth straight win in convincing fashion. Prairie State took a three-goal lead into halftime and added two more for a 5-0 win over Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference rival College of Lake County.
The win is the third consecutive shutout for the Pioneers. Goalkeeper
Torben Busack saved six shots to preserve the clean sheet.
Lapo Carradori had his hands in all the first half scoring putting the first one in the back of the net and assisting goals by
Stefano Mazzariol and
Gustavo Lopez.
Yanis Lakhlifi and
Jahmar Stinchcombe scored the goals in the second half. Mazzariol assisted on Stinchcombe's goal and
Mohamed Elshafie assisted on Lakhlifi's strike. Elshafie finished with two assists in the contest.
No. 3 Prairie State (4-1) will travel to No. 4 Parkland College on Thursday for a huge battle of Top-10 teams.
