Pioneers Suffer Narrow Setback at DuPage

PSC Drops Back to .500 Mark

GLEN ELLYN, Ill. --- Despite a pair of 13-point efforts from sophomore Jacques Eugene (Nova H.S.) and Morgan Rashed (Bella Vista H.S., Italy), the Prairie State men's basketball team was unable to garner a win Thursday evening.
 
Despite a strong effort, the Pioneers suffered a tough 60-58 setback against NJCAA Region IV opponent DuPage.
 
With the loss, PSC moved back to the .500 mark (6-6).
 
  In addition to Eugene and Rashed's efforts, PSC also posted two additional scorers in double figures as sophomore forward Oluyemi Elutilo (Marian Catholic H.S.), (11 points, 8 rebounds) and sophomore forward Dekari Graham (Griffith H.S.), (10 points, 9 rebounds) both turned in strong outings.
 
Freshman forward Donovan Brown (Plainfield Central H.S.)   totaled eight points as well.
 
The Pioneer led 23-22 at the intermission before being outscored 38-35 over the contest's final 20 minutes.
