CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. --- The Prairie State College Athletic Department was pleased to recently learn that three PSC men's basketball players were selected to the All-Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference teams.
Freshman forward
Morgan Rashed (Bella Vista H.S., Italy), sophomore forward
Jaylin Brown (Lakeview H.S.), freshman forward
Christian Barbieri (Harris Academy St. John's Wood, England) and freshman point guard
Jeremiah Johnson (Bloom H.S.) all learned of their selections Tuesday.
Rashed was selected to the league's second team after averaging 16.8 points per game and 5.8 rebounds in Skyway action.
Brown scored at a clip of 14.6 tallies per contest in league play and secured 5.6 rebounds in 12 Skyway tilts.
In 13 Skyway games, Barbieri scored 224 points, good for a 12.9 per game average. He also pulled down 83 rebounds, good for a 6.38 clip.
Johnson averaged 9.64 points per contest with an assist average of 3.5 in Skyway competition.
"All four of these players are absolutely deserving of this honor," PSC head coach
Mike Manderino said. "Aside from being quality basketball players, these are four quality young men. They've represented Prairie State College very well."
