Heartbreaking Loss Ends Strong PSC Season

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. --- For the first time since 2018, the Prairie State men's soccer team will not be playing in the NJCAA Region 4 title match.

The Pioneers, ranked amongst the nation's top 12 teams throughout much of the 2024 campaign, fell to local rival South Suburban, 1-0 in a region quarterfinal at the Pioneer Sports Complex.

The setback closed PSC's season at 13-4-3 and marked the Pioneers' earliest exit from the region tournament since 2017.

The Bulldogs tallied the contest's lone goal in the 48^th minute.

PSC sophomore goalkeeper Yahir Perez (Bremen H.S.) made three saves in the match.
