Box Score CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - Prairie State gave a valient effort in its season opener against Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference foe Waubonsee but was ultimately on the wrong end of a 3-0 decision on Wednesday. 

The Pioneers had a couple scoring chances in the first half but were unable to convert them into goals.

Waubonsee scored three times in the second half to put the game away.

Goalkeeper Constanza Di Bella had seven saves for Prairie State (0-1).

The Pioneers will square off against Kishwaukee next Tuesday.
