Kankakee Topples PSC in Regular Season Finale

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. --- Despite another hard-fought and all-out effort, the Prairie State women's soccer team dropped its regular season finale 2-0 to NJCAA Region 4 counterpart Kankakee at the Pioneer Sports Complex.
 
The setback closed PSC's regular season at 2-10.
 
Despite not finding the back of the net, the Pioneers did apply offensive pressure throughout the match, placing four shots on goal.
 
Following the match, PSC's eight seniors were honored for their two years of service to Pioneer soccer.
 
Keyla Avilla, Tiara Alvarado, Alondra Estrada, Shamiah Stinchcombe-Brown, Monserrat Coyt, Abigail Fernandez, Thato Khomari and Lily Sanchez were presented with framed action photos from their time at PSC.
 
Sanchez posted a shutout in the second half, making four saves.
